Sustainability

Our views

As we all become aware of the growing human impacts on our planet and our realization that the long-term viability of every firm, organization and enterprise is supported by the availability of finite natural resources used in producing goods or providing services, there is a growing expectation that every business needs to be a sustainable business—or be on a clear path to becoming one.

Glocal Services aspires to be a leader in corporate sustainability. We are committed to the journey — as a business partner, an employer, a community member, an environmental steward and a value creator for shareholders and stakeholders. By thinking and acting sustainably, we are committed to delivering excellent customer service and strong financial results and position the company for a strong future.

Our views now

Climate change is a global challenge. We are helping industries transition operations and business models to help usher in a low-carbon economy. We approach the management of environmental and social risks with the same care and discipline as any other business risk, and undertake a robust review process to take the environmental and social impacts and practices of our clients and potential clients into consideration in our business selection decisions. At the center of our efforts, we are partnering with our global business partners to harness markets, deepen capabilities and drive innovation to support the transition to an inclusive, low-carbon economy.

Our views future

Looking ahead, the needs of our clients will increasingly be defined by sustainable growth. Our firm’s long-term success, the stability of the global economy and society’s overall wellbeing all depend on it.

Technologies such as 5G, IoT and AI are opening a wealth of new opportunities by accelerating the speed of digitalization across multiple industries. With these new opportunities and the rapid pace of innovation, we believe there is an opportunity to use our specialist expertise to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). But to do so will need a concerted, collective effort from a wide range of parties – from industries and investors to governments and academia.
